Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to US Development Team
• Lead development of CSP solar through greenfield, and joint venture (JV) initiatives
• Lead D (Development) Process from inception to completion, working with leaders and staff from Finance and Accounting, Engineering, Plant O&M, Governmental Affairs, MarCom, Legal, and other functions to obtain and analyze data to evaluate viability of projects, and ensure their financial and strategic benefit to the Company
• Identify project risks and mitigation strategies, and present this information and corresponding recommendations to CEO, CFO, Investment Committee, and the Board of Directors
• Profit and loss responsibility for annual Development budget
• As the leader of Development, act as the Company’s representative and spokesperson with state, local, county, and other government agencies; land owners; media; and industry representatives
• Evaluate competitive landscape and implement initiatives to maintain and improve the Company’s market position

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; MBA a plus minimum 8 years of experience in fossil and/or renewable energy development strongly preferred; strong business acumen

Demonstrated experience successfully and simultaneously managing multiple large-scale development projects thorough understanding of deregulated energy markets, renewable energy economics, and renewable energy market drivers in the Southwest US

Contacts with executives, particularly in renewable energy groups of Southwestern US utility companies ability to work in a more entrepreneurial environment and with diverse cultures ability to both think strategically, and implement tactically as necessary

Excellent leadership, interpersonal, team building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

Ability to travel overnight approximately 40%
