Transnuclear, Inc., a subsidiary of Areva, is seeking a Document Control Administrator.   In this position, the ideal candidate will:
  • Independently accomplish complex document control tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Lead small teams to accomplish department objectives.
  • Establish and maintain complex files of a specialized nature.
  • Maintain the current status of information for accurate retrieval.
  • Assist with generating or updating records, inventories and retention schedules.
  • Classify and index records and information according to prepared schedules.
  • Organize and maintain files to conform to published standards.
  • Monitor adherence to records retention schedules and maintains record indices and files to determine record locations.
  • Establishe filing methods and procedures based on the records program.
  • Maintain and update operating procedures within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Proactive in recommendation for changes that improve the efficiency of the department.
  • Research and reference documents for special projects on request.
  • Compile specialized information and prepare reports.
  • Prepare record transfer to secondary storage in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist in process analysis of specialized areas.
  • Evaluate and recommend resolution for discrepancies.
  • Play an active role in creating a safe and healthy workplace and complying with all applicable safety and health rules.
Typical projects this group may work on include:
  • Project to scan, index, and load tens of thousands of old QA Records into the RMS.
  • Archiving of thousands of gigabytes of analytical calculation data files.
  • Applications for 10 CFR Part 72 spent fuel storage certificate of compliance (CoC) amendments.
  • Applications for 10 CFR Part 71 radioactive material transportation CoC revisions.
  • 24-month updates to Updated Final Safety Analysis Reports.
  • 24-month 10 CFR 72.48 Evaluation Summary Submittals

Transnuclear's licensing and document control section coordinates all nuclear regulatory submittals associated with dry fuel storage system certificate applications and amendment requests, radioactive waste transportation certificate applications and revision requests. The group also maintains the licensing basis documents associated with those certificates, including biennial safety analysis report updates and facilitation of the 10 CFR 72.48 process involving changes to the various licensing bases. The group arranges for all interactions with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The group provides ongoing documentation support to the Project Management organization and to the Fabrication Project Engineering organization. The group also assists with processing of all Engineering quality assurance (QA) records into the TN Records Management System (RMS), and leads or assists with special projects for QA records outside of the RMS.

Qualifications
 
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity.  Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Knowledge of record control systems, principles, and practices.
  • General proficiency in computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, scanning software and database management.
