Senior Lease Analyst
| Description: Senior Lease Analyst position includes a combination of Lease, Contract, and Title Analysis, as well as delay rental responsibilities. |

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Use oral and written language to consistently and effectively communication with other analysts, team leaders, and other inside and outside customers • Ability to work well in a team environment and independently, with supervision • Ability to assist with owner relations’ requests or concerns to resolution • Ability to assist with Land Administration training sessions • Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate resources and activities to accomplish set objectives, and monitor progress against objectives in a capacity of project manager • Ability to correctly perform the set up of newly acquired leases. Ability to clean-up and/or maintain existing lease records as required by new wells being drilled, assignments, purchases, sales, formations of units, segregations, extensions, etc., and flagging appropriately for Land Mapping • Ability to generate all canned reports, and accurately monitor monthly lease obligations, lease expirations/terminations, etc. Working knowledge of preparation of assignments, extensions, and releases • Ability to understand notifications from other business units and update appropriate records upon receipt of such notifications • Ability to effective use Microsoft Office software applications to produce spreadsheets, presentations, and word documents, and use Cisco systems for electronic mail, electronic scheduling and voice mail as part of daily work |

Qualifications:
• Ability to request new owner records, assist in the initiation of rental, advance rental, minimum royalty, shut-in royalty flat rate royalty payments, and assist in the generation of associated forms and reports • Ability to thoroughly and accurately analyze current and new oil and gas leases, and verify ownership through analysis of associated correspondence, reports, contracts and title opinions, while taking advantage of internal and external resources • Ability to read and interpret title opinions and determine and obtain title curative on requirements. Ability to order supplemental abstracts • Ability to handle research/special projects, BPO/APO situations and notifications. Ability to assist other analysts, Land Directors and outside Landmen in problem solving of rental payments, ownership issues and special projects. • Demonstrate knowledge base of general oil and gas law, governmental regulations, and industry practices over numerous geographic areas, in order to assist with Company objectives in acquiring, maintaining and disposing of oil and gas rights and obligations • Has thorough understanding of Land Administration responsibilities and can train other employees • Ability to develop training modules and use them effectively to share knowledge • Keeps technical knowledge, skills and training abilities current • Ability to contribute to a team’s coaching, mentoring, and teaching objectives • This position requires at least an undergraduate college degree and 2-5 years of industry experience • In the absence of a degree, at least 7-10 years of lease records experience is required • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered |
