Education:

B. Sc. in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline plus relevant technical courses in completion design, drilling operations, wellhead design and well control. Must be computer literate.

Experience and Skills:

At least 6 years of Completion Engineering/ Drilling Engineering / Well Site Operations.

Prepares detailed step by step drilling, workover and completion programs for execution on rig site as per FD well proposals and objectives. Carries out all drilling and workover operation engineering duties related to assigned onshore rigs. Plans and specifies drilling equipment, materials and services required for each well. Plans and designs the most cost effective and trouble free directional and horizontal well paths and ensures care is taken to minimize formation damage and deviation from geological targets by daily monitoring and revision (if necessary) of drilling operations. Participates in the training and development of assigned trainees, departmental well cost budget and cost control implementation and in contract preparation and evaluation is required.
