AREVA is seeking a "Marketing Business Case Analyst" for our Lynchburg, VA or Bethesda, MD location. This qualified individual will support the Sales & Marketing - Strategic Planning group.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Develop financial business cases for strategic business opportunities for all AREVA BGs. Develop / manage the AREVA Inc corporate process for preparing internal and external business cases.
- Develop business cases that evaluates offers from the customer perspective in addition to our own financial pro forma for profitability.
- Assist BGs to develop the AREVA value propositions from our customers perspective to win important contracts.
- Analyze market and economic trends; recommend courses of action to AREVA Inc management.
- Work effectively across various AREVA organizations to perform business case program analysis and capture customer commitments.
- Conduct research on customers and within AREVA to obtain financial data for business cases.
- Conduct strategic and financial analysis to provide recommendations to management.
TYPICAL PROJECTS MAY INCLUDE:
- Developing business cases and quantifying the value to the customer for AREVA products and solutions being proposed. Business cases will show the benefit to both the customer and AREVA of our proposed solutions. Business cases will be developed for major proposals, integrated proposals and for new plants.
- Developing plans to recommend to AREVA Inc management based on trend in economy and market.
- Contribute to the strategic plan.
- Financial analysis and speech development.
TRAVEL:
Moderate: 10% travel required. Domestic travel to AREVA and customer offices. Occasional travel to Europe.

Qualifications
All candidates must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for this opportunity. Candidates who exceed minimum qualifications may be considered for a higher level position.
- Marketing Business Case Analyst I: Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree and a MBA degree from an accredited business program and minimum 7 years of related work experience. A minimum 2 years of nuclear technology / business experience is required.
- Marketing Business Case Analyst II: Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree and a MBA degree from an accredited business program and minimum 10 years of related work experience. A minimum 2 years of nuclear technology / business experience is required.
- Proficiency in conducting research to obtain financial information on customers and the nuclear electricity industry.
- Ability to work with Key Account Managers and customers to obtain needed information and to discuss results.
- Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in PC-based Microsoft applications and Enterprise programs (databases, reports, user interfaces).
- Demonstrated written, verbal and presentation skills including coordinating meetings and training.
The following requirements are desired and will be used to differentiate all candidates who apply for this position.
- Previous experience in the development of business cases or performing financial analysis.
- Working knowledge of the consultative sales methodology.
- Enrolled in or attended Strategic Business Development Training program.
