| Duties/Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be based in St. Petersburg, but will have responsibilities throughout Progress Energy's Florida generating facilities. This position will be responsible for some administrative duties such as assigning and coordinating the work of a group of engineers. The successful candidate will provide lead technical support for combustion turbine (CT) and combined cycle (CC) units. This includes component and system condition assessments, economic and technical studies, short and long-term troubleshooting support and recommendations, reliability improvement, root cause analyses, specification development and review, outage and project technical support, and some technical vendor oversight. The ideal candidate will have OEM gas turbine experience (Siemens 501F, "F" class turbine experience, General Electric, or at a minimum gas turbine design exposure experience. This will include the ability to perform basic design calculations or the ability to learn how to). A multi-discipline individual is highly desirable. The work scope will involve both desk work with drawings, manuals and computer data as well as field work involving the ability to observe machine conditions, direct field investigations, and effectively communicate with plant management and operators as well as other engineers assisting with problem resolutions. |

| Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in engineering (not engineering technology program) from an ABET accredited program or a current PE license is required. An international engineering degree will be considered. A Master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. engineering degree. 7-10 years engineering experience required. |
