Education:

B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering plus relevant specialized industry courses in Drilling, Cementing, Mud Engineering, Horizontal and Directional Drilling, Completions, Drilling bits, Wellhead.

Experience and Skills:

Minimum 10 years experience in Drilling Operations and 5 years minimum experience in a supervisory capacity.

Supervise and co-ordinate drilling, completion and workover operations through consultation with Drilling Superintendent.  Responsible for operational implementation of the programme after collaborating with the Drilling Operations Engineer to develop and plan safe cost effective operations that accomplish the well objectives within the allocated budget and ensuring that the drilling equipment is adequately maintained for minimizing operational downtime.  Responsible for training of assigned personnel with particular emphasis on Qatar development.
