BP Owned Rig Team Leader
The BP Owned Rig Team Leader will be accountable for overseeing the ownership and management of the BP-owned GoM Deepwater rig fleet and providing rig systems operability support for all Wells Team drilling, completions and intervention operations.
This position will have direct reports who will be technical experts in rig equipment maintenance, marine riser and subsea systems.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of BP Rig Owned Team Leader (Gulf of Mexico) applicants must have:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
- Must not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., TN, H1B status)
- A Bachelor degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline or commensurate industry experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering, Maintenance or Operation of Drilling Rigs with a minimum of 5 years associated with 5th Generation new-build rigs.
- Demonstrated experience working with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisor experience leading a team of both engineering professionals and field personnel.
- Strong planning and design skills.
- Ability to perform cost estimation and risk analysis.
- Able to provide operation support to field teams and exhibit HSE behaviors.
- Able to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Able to be in small, confined places, on high platforms, walk on high elevation grating over water, walk up and down steps.
- Able to ride in a helicopter or boat over waters for extended periods of time.
